Hello and welcome to my Web-Site. This introduction will provide a short narrative about my web-site, and a quick guide through the site.
More than 15 years ago, I traded-in competitive bodybuilding for motherhood, which I still do not regret to this day. However, I also never stopped bodybuilding, as motherhood only changed my involvement in the sport. Soon after retiring from the competitive scene, I wrote a book on bodybuilding and nutrition, conducted numerous guest appearances, got involved in some minor theatrical performances that involved muscularity and fitness, and then owned a gym for several years (for an indepth story please refer to Anjas Story.) For the last 8 years, I have mainly been involved in personal training, consultations, seminars and fitness modeling, and then in November 2001, I became a Mom again. |

For almost 25 years of my life, and in all various situations, I have been involved in the sport of bodybuilding. All this has led to my current role of remaining a spokesperson for the sport; not only as a past competitor and fitness model, but as a guide for both men and women of all ages that seek to improve their physical appearance and well-being.
It is also my wish to educate those who perceive bodybuilding as a narcissistic expression by individuals obsessed with only their physical appearance. To me, there are three parts that make up a well rounded person: the mind, the body, and the soul. Thus, I believe that to strive for improvement in all three areas should be a goal in all of us, and I see bodybuilding as one of the means to the enhance at least that one third of the triangle that make up a human being. What a shame it is when an intellectual and spiritual individual dies at a young age of poor health, or when an individual is so obese that his peers ridicule him and neglect his talents. In either case, that person is neither doing himself nor humanity any justice. On the other hand, one's success in the physical area should not be measured in comparison to others (except for in healthy competitions). It is when you improve your body and health to the best of your ability, and at a rate that your life style allows you to, that you become a winner and a champion in your own world. There is also a difference between bodybuilding and competitive bodybuilding. I am no longer a competitor, but I will always be a bodybuilder. And I am proud of that statement and will not turn my back on the sport. Visit my Photo Gallery, and let me abolish any stereotypical views that you may have about female bodybuilders. |

The Photo Gallery also has a few select photos that are available for purchase (and if desired with signature and/or personalized message). The available photos can be viewed and ordered from that section. Throughout my career I have been known for the statement: quality not quantity. Therefore, the amount of available photos may not be as abundant as on other sites, but I promise that they will always be of an aesthetic and artistic quality.

In the Training & Literature section, I have posted a few of my personal training articles. There you will also find information on work-out routines and pictorials that were published in various health & fitness magazines. On my links page, I have listed links to professionals or friends who I admire for their achievements. Thanks to all of them, and to all those who have helped me put this site together .
Finally, my eternal gratitude to Roy, my husband, without whom this web-site would not exist! |
